I'll Be Up There

I’ll Be Up There – Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Copyright 2001-2021, Bodi-wan/David Hodge

(A song as if I died suddenly, specifically in a car wreck, ,i.e., a pile up with multiple cars involved. Naturally, it has godly philosophical and allegorical undertones. The purpose is to get people to realize that death can come at any moment; so be prepared. The song is split down the middle lyrically with the The Sudden Event and The Joyous Exultation.)

The Sudden Event

Bang, I see the light (i.e., headlights and a wreck)

I see it coming all around (i.e., the crash)

I see the dawn of time escape (i.e., that moment you realize that your life is about to expire here on earth)

Without a hint of sound (i.e., loss of the sound in your ears) and then I know it isn’t long until I will die (Ecclesiastes 3:2, 7:17, 9:5)

Not another chance to change (Hebrews 9:27)

The second banging grabbed me cold (another car finishes the job in the pile up)

My body leaves my soul because (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; James 2:26)

The time and date was set by God above and now it's time for me to go (Job 14:5)

Hey, I’ll be up there (Philippians 3:20; Revelation 21:1-2)

When I die, know, I’ll be up there (1 Peter 1:4)

Bang, I’m in a better place (John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:3-4)

Don’t cry a single tear for me (instead rejoice; Matthew 5:12; Luke 10:20)

For I am with the Lord indeed (Romans 10:9)

In peace and love you’ll see in Jesus’ holy name I have been saved (Romans 10:13; Jude 1:2)

The Joyous Exultation

Stand firm upon the word (1 Corinthians 16:13; Ephesians 6:14-17)

For its truth has been upheld (Psalm 33:4; John 17:17)

Those who choose the evil path will find that (Proverbs 4:14-17)

Judgment by the Lord will weld eternal pain away from God (Ecclesiastes 12:14; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46)

Hey, I’ll be up there (Philippians 3:20; Revelation 21:1-2)

When I die, know, I’ll be up there (1 Peter 1:4)

Live your life for God (Galatians 2:19-20)

And give Him all the love you have (Deuteronomy 6:5; Mark 12:30)

And He will bless you as he did (Proverbs 10:6; Luke 7:23)

With me because He loves you too and wants you to come back to him (John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:9)

I pray that those who knew me (Matthew 5:44)

See a spark of truth in Christ (Philippians 1:18)

And let it light their life above (Acts 26:18)

What others try to force on them (Ephesians 5:6) as God is truth and has prepared for you (John 14:2-6)

Hey, I’ll be up there (Philippians 3:20; Revelation 21:1-2)

When I die, know, I’ll be up there (1 Peter 1:4)

I – Will – Serve – You (Hebrews 12:28)

I will serve the Savior (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)

When he calls my name (John 6:44, 12:32; Romans 9:11; 1 Thessalonians 2:12)

I will listen to him (Proverbs 8:32)

Every Day (Acts 17:11)

And then

The blessings flow

Around me

To all (Proverbs 10:6; Luke 6:28)

I – Will – Love – You (Deuteronomy 6:5; Joshua 23:11; Luke 10:27)

I will love my Master (1 Corinthians 16:22)

All my Life (Psalm 144:4; Hebrews 12:1-2)

He will listen to me (Proverbs 15:29)

When I call his name (Psalm 80:18)

And then

The Blessings flow

Around me

To all (Proverbs 10:6; Luke 6:28)

Open Your Mind

Open Your Mind – Lyrics

Bodi-wan

[I just wanted to say something about how special this song was to me. It was the first song I had ever written, composed, arranged, played the instruments, recorded, mixed, and mastered, entirely by myself.

I was new to this difficult process (and definitely not an expert on the instruments I was playing). I was still learning immensely so the quality of workmanship and ability is a bit lower. The recording was done on an old fashioned 8-track cassette studio. So there is background tape noise that I just can't escape (like several of my early recordings) until I stepped up to digital when that became available to a solo musician.

I wanted do high screams, elegant highs and midrange, I wanted falsetto, a touch of gruff raspy-ness. I wanted solos. I almost wanted too much to go into this song. Most of all, I wanted to honor Christ. And alas, I did it. I hope you enjoy it.]

Ahh!

It’s time for you to try your mind (Psalm 147:5)– grab a book [of the Bible] and see what you can find. (Psalm 70:4)

Flip the pages and find the facts (mimicking Solomon; Ecclesiastes 12:10) – seek the thoughts prevailing in the past (Colossians 2:1-10).

Now take second and seek the truth (John 14:6) – read the words as careful as a sleuth (Proverbs 8:8-9; 2 Corinthians 1:13, 4:2).

Analyze them from every side (1 Timothy 4:13-16) – then you’ll know the power that they hide. (Colossians 1:26)

Logic is a tool to decipher beginnings (Proverbs 8:12; Genesis 1:1-2:3) – time had a start (Genesis 1:1; Proverbs 8:23; Micah 5:2; Titus 1:2) as well as all the sinning. (Genesis 3; Roman 5:12; 1 John 3:8)

The universe, itself, was proven to expand (e.g., Psalm 104:2, Isaiah 40:22; Zechariah 12:1) – even Newton new the “not so secret” plan. (Colossians 1:26)

The Bible is the truth (John 17:17), upheld in all respects (Isaiah 2:22; John 12:48), - why do people hide (Jeremiah 23:24) and jump in certain sects? (e.g., Acts 13:6; Colossians 2:18; 2 Peter 2:1)

If God can create (Isaiah 40:28), He can preserve is Word (Psalm 12:6-7) – and those who don’t believe are brainwashed and absurd. (Romans 1:20-22, 1:28; Titus 1:15; 2 Timothy 2:25-26)

All knowledge isn’t hidden you’ll find some in your soul (e.g., even David has basic knowledge in the womb in Psalm 22:10) –

But wisdom must be granted to make the spirit grow (Luke 17:5)

Now take the time read and find out on your own – (Acts 2:42, 17:11; 2 Peter 3:2)

and you’ll become aware just how much you have grown.(1 Corinthians 3:6)

 (Falsetto - one breath)

I’m with the one who created “forever” – (Ephesians 4:4-6; Revelation 22:5)

let him take control and you’ll never say never (John 16:13; 1 Corinthians 6:19)*

Take hold of the facts, you’re never gonna die – (John 5:24; 1 John 5:24; 1 Corinthians 15:20)

Creation is the truth (Genesis 1-11, Romans 8:20-22, Mark 10:6; Revelation 21:1) now challenge those who lie (Psalm 116:11; Romans 3:4)

*The Holy Spirit guided the Apostles into all truth and the work of the Apostles, the finished and sufficient Word of God, is now what we use as our guide for our lives.

Chorus Bodi-wan/David Hodge (2001-2002)

---Point of note: there are several pledges and variations for the Christian flag. The one used for the lyrics in this song was a slight variation of the earliest one. I prefer this one in recitation.

---Another point for those outside of the USA: although I sing about my country and its pledge in this song, I want to encourage you to love your country and strive to make it better based on godly principles founded in Scripture. And if I can ask, please be in prayer for the USA, as there have been many in today's American culture trying to destroy it from within. I value the prayer to help our nation repent of her sins and return to God and His Word.

A Candle in the Darkness

A Candle in the Darkness – Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Copyright 2001-2021, Bodi-wan/David Hodge

Never gonna see another day or see tomorrow (Ephesians 5:8)

Never gonna live my life for pure sorrow (Psalm 90:10; Ecclesiastes 11:10; John 16:22)

This is how I’ll live my life forever more (1 Peter 1:23)

Challenge all in favor for better awakening (Colossians 1:28)

Let the lightning strike for the smell is savoring (Job 37:2-4; Acts 26:17-18)

This is how I’ll be living everyday (Galatians 2:20)

Now take hold of flame and let it shine (Psalm 106:18)

Let the wisdom from the Spirit guide your mind (Ephesians 1:17)

No one hides a candle under a bush (Matthew 5:15)

But they put it up as high as they can push (Luke 11:33)

Now take hold of flame and let it shine (Job 29:3)

Let the wisdom from the Spirit guide your mind (James 1:5)

For the power of the Lord won’t be held down (Isaiah 55:11; 1 Corinthians 2:5)

You have to open your mouth before there’s sound (Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10:14-15)

People want to see and people want to know (John 6:44, 12:32; Romans 1:18-20; James 4:8)

Now say what you should cause you reap what you sow (2 Corinthians 9:6; Galatians 6:7-9)

Grace is given free but treasures need some works (Romans 5:15; Matthew 6:19-20; Hebrews 11:26)

A candle with no flame doesn’t cut like a knife (Proverbs 13:9; Isaiah 43:17)

But one spark in the dark brings the fuel its life (Luke 12:49)

Explosion of thoughts is all that it takes (Luke 24:45; Colossians 1:9)

Now take hold of flame and let it shine (Matthew 13:43)

Let the wisdom from the Spirit guide your mind (Ephesians 1:17)

No one hides a candle under a bush (Matthew 5:15)

But they put it up as high as they can push (Luke 11:33)

Now take hold of flame and let it shine (2 Corinthians 4:6)

Let the wisdom from the Spirit guide your mind (James 1:5)

For the power of the Lord won’t be held down (Isaiah 55:11; 1 Corinthians 2:5)

You have to open your mouth before there’s sound (Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10:14-15)

Light is deemed as ‘good’ to awaken our minds (Matthew 5:16; Luke 11:34; Ephesians 4:23)

To bring a new beginning and enlighten the signs (2 Corinthians 5:17; John 20:29-30)

The Word is written so that you and I can see

Let the light ignite and watch the darkness flee (John 1:3-5)

The light illuminates what our thoughts can’t see (Hebrews 10:32; Luke 11:36)

The Spirit of Truth, it casts doubt aside (Ephesians 5:8-10)

Now take hold of flame and let it shine (Philippians 2:15)

Let the wisdom from the Spirit guide your mind (Luke 1:77-79)

No one hides a candle as bright as the sun so (Matthew 17:5; Revelations 22:16)

Light a candle in the darkness and watch the darkness run… (James 4:7)

Wise Men

Wise Men - Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Copyright 2003-2021 Bodi-wan/David Hodge

[Editorial notes: so of all the songs I've done, this one was affected by the "the Great Crash" the most. I was currently working on it when bang, everything led to the "blue screen of death" on my computer. I lost a lot of files but I had backups of some, which helped out invaluably for my albums.

I had recorded all the music for Wise Men and had a mix of it. However, the vocal tracks were only test tracks that I quickly threw onto it in an effort to give me a taste of the basic melodies I wanted. Then that would give me some ideas of what to do for the final vocal track and how I wanted to work it out.

Normally, I would have a .wav file with no vocals (e.g., like a karaoke track) and I would practice that way too. But I lost that when the computer crashed. If I had that file I could at least redo the vocal track better.

Alas, all I had was a copy of the song with my vocal test track. So this is the song with my vocal test track and although there are places I wish I could change it and do it better, this is what I was stuck with. But I still think it was worthy of release as opposed to sitting in the void of cyber storage.]

The journey calls

Off in the distance, we see it arise, a star shining brightly to bring us surprise (Numbers 24:17; Matthew 2:2-10).

Searching for answers, we checked ancient scrolls (e.g., Daniel 8:15-26) – finding the prophecy to save all our souls (Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, Daniel 12:2).

The journey answered

Encrypting the secrets and wisdom untold (Daniel 2:19-35[1]; Matthew 13:35), a journey we must on a long rugged road (Matthew 2:1).

Packing some things we set off for the west (Matthew 2:1), the call in our hearts for the ‘Fortunate Blessed’ (Luke 2:25-35).

The first wise man:

“This is our mission, to bring gifts of value to this Man (Matthew 2:11).”

The second wise man responds:

“Travels cold and bearing, but destiny lies in other lands (Matthew 2:2).”

The third wise speaks:

“Yes, yes, we have made it to the [Jerusalem area near the] Mediterranean Sea (Matthew 2:3).”

The fourth wise man instructs:

“Ask those all around here, for the One who is going to be King (Matthew 2:2-3).”

Of Noble request

Our visit drew company as high as the ‘head’ (aka Herod), wanting to know whom we sought up ahead (Matthew 2:7-8).

Of Bethlehem, descent of David of old, soon to be heir of a great priestly throne (Isaiah 9:7; Jeremiah 23:5; Matthew 2:4-6; 1 Timothy 6:13-16; Hebrews 9:11).

A Plot ahead

Then tell me when you find Him and I’ll worship too (Matthew 2:8).  He said with a smirk but his words were untrue (Matthew 2:13).

Another small journey

Then journey again to this town of the star, finding this Boy after months from afar (Matthew 2:9-10).

The first wise man:

“Yes, yes, we have made it to the stable that held this humble crown (Matthew 2:6, 2:11).”

The second wise man responds:

“Give our gifts of value and offer advice to leave this town (Matthew 2:11-12) [2].”

The third wise speaks:

“They decided to listen to go to another foreign land [when the angel told them to go] (Matthew 2:12-14).”

The fourth wise man instructs:

“Our mission’s complete as they decide to go off unto the Nile’s sand (Matthew 2:12-13).”

The angel commanded them to leave and they were ready!

They went off to Egypt into another land (Matthew 2:14). For they knew the king was coming with a mighty hand (Matthew 2:13).

With rage and some jealousy and a killing spree (Matthew 216). His life was spared to set us all free (Matthew 17-18; Romans 6:22).

Prophecy fulfilled

And the words of the Prophet will be made true – being called out of Egypt…from which they flew (Hosea 11:1; Matthew 2:15).

Far off in the East

The first wise man:

“Thank You my Father – thank You for the Love that You did send (Psalm 107:1).”

The second wise man responds:

“Thank You for coming, thank You for the time that You did spend (Psalm 118:1).”

The third wise speaks:

“Thank You for caring, thank You for all that You have done (Psalm 136:1).”

The fourth wise man instructs:

“Thank You my Father, thank You for sending us Your Son (John 6:40).”

[1] Christ is the stone that crushes and His Kingdom will never end and smash all other kingdoms, a kingdom not of this world.

[2] Being that the Wiseman had a divine dream warning them not to return to Herod prior to leaving, they surely warned Mary and Joseph about Herod. Likely they offered advice to leave for Christ's own protection. Though Mary and Joseph didn't leave until they were warned by the Angel giving full confirmation to what Herod was going to do, but they may have been packed and ready due to advice from the Wiseman.

Tongue Tower

 Tongue Tower - Lyrics

After the flood

They had one language, they had one speech (Genesis 11:1)

They traveled to a plain called “Shinar” (Genesis 11:2)

They built a tower to reach to the heavens (Genesis 11:4)

Because they thought they were greater than God (Due to their defiance of God's command in Genesis 9:1; Genesis 11:4)

God struck it down (Genesis 11:5-9, God struck down their goal to use this tower to keep them from being scattered)

Confused their speech (Genesis 11:7)

He split the earth up according to their family clans (Genesis 10:5, 10:20, 10:31-32; note that Genesis 10 doesn't precede Genesis 11:1-9. Genesis 10 is the breakdown of the what resulted from the scattering in Genesis 11)

After Babel

The grandsons of Noah fled (Genesis 11:8)

To Europe, Asia, and Africa (Genesis 9:27; Genesis 11:5, etc. as they knew where to go as Noah and his family already divided the land up in Genesis 9 and Japheth's territory was enlarged at one stage)

By family groups they spread about (Genesis 10:5, 10:20, 10:31-32)

Finally even to the Americas

Ancient cultures began to emerge

Civilizations like Egypt (Mitzraim) began (Genesis 10:6, 10:13, 12:10)

Greece (Javan) followed after several years (Genesis10:2, 10:4; Daniel 8:21)

They can’t defy the Creator’s plan (Genesis11:5-6; Jeremiah 32:27)

God struck it down (Genesis 11:5-9, God struck down their goal to use this tower to keep them from being scattered)

Confused their speech (Genesis 11:7)

He split the earth up according to their family clans (Genesis 10:5, 10:20, 10:31-32; note that Genesis 10 doesn't precede Genesis 11:1-9. Genesis 10 is the breakdown of the what resulted from the scattering in Genesis 11)

Twisted Tongues

[I understand these are modern variations of the original language families that first existed when the Babel scattering occurring, but I hope it gets the point across. :-)]

Lessons from Babel

Explains the ‘races’ and linguistic change [Genesis 3:20; 1 Corinthians 15:45-47; Revelation 7:9, there is only 1 race—the human race!]

This is why people groups are unique (e.g., 1 Samuel 16:12; Jeremiah 13:23; Song of Solomon 5:10, )

Noah’s traits bottlenecked in these groups (Genesis 10:1, 10:32)

‘Racial’ differences are extremely bleak (Acts 2:8-11; Romans 3:23; 1 Corinthians 3:11; Galatians 3:28)

We’re all one ‘race’ and family (Genesis 3:20; 1 Corinthians 15:45-47)

We’re all in need of Jesus Christ (John 12:32; Romans 5:12-18; 2 Peter 3:9)

To be saved from the second death (John 5:24; 1 John 3:14; Revelation 20:5-6, 20:14, 21:8)

And the curse that enslaves the world (Genesis 3:14, 3:17; Revelation 22:3)

God struck it down (Genesis 11:5-9, God struck down their goal to use this tower to keep them from being scattered)

Confused their speech (Zephaniah 3:8-9; Acts 2:1-8)

He divided the earth up by their family clans (Genesis 10:5, 10:20, 10:31-32; note that Genesis 10 doesn't precede Genesis 11:1-9. Genesis 10 is the breakdown of the what resulted from the scattering in Genesis 11)

Armor of God

Armor of God - Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Ephesians 6

Grab your Sword and view the enemy!

The Lord is coming with the power of his Word (2 Corinthians 6:7; 2 Peter 1:16), so we should read the Bible as it is His sword (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12; Revelation 1:16).

You should take a stand against the devil’s schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11); for our battle is not against ‘flesh and blood’ teams (Ephesians 6:12; 2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

Battle Cry!

So take the sword of our great God  (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12; Revelation 1:16) and read it all (2 Corinthians 3:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:27) and then you’ll grow (e.g., 1 Corinthians 3:6), you’ll grow in faith (2 Thessalonians 1:3), you’ll grow in hope (Romans 15:13) and then you’ll be ready (2 Timothy 4:2) – let’s go!

Armor Up!

So you should put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17) instead of being taken captive by Satan’s little fraud (2 Timothy 2:25-26).

A belt buckle of truth (Ephesians 6:14) and a righteous breastplate (Ephesians 6:14), a helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17) and shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16).

Prepare the heart and come along!

Pray for me also when I open my mouth to be fearlessly preaching in the North and South (Ephesians 6:18).

So you should put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17) or risk being beaten by Satan’s little rod (1 Corinthians 5:5; James 4:7).

Put on the full armor of God...

Fall Into Death

The Fall into Death - Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Copyright 2003-2021 Bodi-wan/David Hodge

Music break symbolizing a the fall in Genesis 3

In time, in a place, when the world was ‘very good’ (Genesis 1:31).  Satan fell (Isiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:15, Luke 10:18), then he spoke, through the serpent to Eve (Genesis 3:1-5 [see also how Satan influenced others like David in 1 Chronicles 21:1; the King of Tyre in Ezekiel 28:12-17; Peter in Mark 8:31-33; Judas in Luke 22:3; Ananias; Acts 5:3]).

Satan said:

“You will not surely die…You will not surely die” (Genesis 3:4)

God said that we would (Genesis 2:17).

God said:

“You will surely die…You will surely die” (Genesis 2:17)

What God said came to pass (Genesis 3:19, 3:22, 5:5).

The woman, and the man – they ate from the forbidden tree (Genesis 3:6, 3:12-13).  They died (Genesis 3:19; Romans 5:14), as do we (1 Corinthians 15:22), because of this sentence to die (Romans 5:12).

God said:

“Cursed are the animals” (Genesis 3:14)

“Cursed is the ground because of you” (Genesis 3:17, 5:29; Romans 8:21; Revelation 22:3)

“To the dust you will return” (Genesis 3:19; Psalm 16:10; Acts 2:31, 13:37; 1 Corinthians 15:35-52)

This is why, there is death and suffering (Romans 3:23, 6:23) and why you need Jesus Christ, to save you from death (John 3:15-18; Acts 4:12).

Flood Epic

Flood Epic - Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Copyright 2003-2021 Bodi-wan/David Hodge

The foreshadow of waves

Epic of the day

Every inclination their hearts were evil all the time (Genesis 6:5).

All men’s thoughts had gone astray (Genesis 6:5)

But Noah was a righteous man (Genesis 6:9, 6:22-7:1; 2 Peter 2:5)

He walked with God and he was blameless in His sight (Genesis 6:9; Ezekiel 14:14).

The Lord will judge their sin with a mighty flood (Genesis 6:11-13; Psalm 29:10)…

Noah built the ark (Genesis 6:14-22), the animals came (Genesis 6:19-20), Christ shut the door (Genesis 7:16) when man refused to change (Matthew 24:38-39; 2 Peter 2:5).

Epic of the punishment

Noah preached to them (2 Peter 2:5) but they refused to listen to the word,

Now their screams ring out to them as sin was punished with the flood (Genesis 7:23; Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 21:7)

It came upon them when they least expected it (Luke 17:26-27).

But remembered Noah and his family (Genesis 8:1)…

The flood gates burst (Genesis 7:11-12; Psalm 104:8-9), the Ark floated high (Genesis 7:17), those who loved sin were left there to die (Genesis 7:19-23; James 1:15).

The final wave (during the solo)

Epic reminder

A peace had settled on the earth for man to start a brand new life (Genesis 8:11, 8:21-9:1; 9:12-17),

God called them out of their long stay aboard the ark of salvation (Genesis 8:16-19)

A lesson for us, Christ will save us (Genesis 6:16, 7:16; John 10:9.

The Lord will still judge sin in mighty ways (1 Peter 4:5; 2 Peter 3:5-7).

Evolution Train

Evolution Train - Lyrics

Bodi-wan

Copyright 2003-2021 Bodi-wan/David Hodge

[Editorial comments: The idea of biological evolution is an ancient Epicurean belief that was revived by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck and Erasmus Darwin. It was further modified by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russell Wallace. Charles Darwin, Erasmus' grandson, used Ed Blyth's ideas of natural selection (although they were not called "natural selection" until Darwin) to propose that that was the mechanism for evolution's onward and upward movement to complex information to develop things like a circulatory system, nervous system, hair, lungs, brain, and so on.

But we don't observe evolutionary changes. Instead the changes we observe in biological systems (e.g., mutations and natural selection) are moving in the opposite direction of evolutionists' propositions. We observe losses of information, copies and filtering of existing information but not new functional information generation that previously didn't exist.

Biological evolution is one portion of an evolutionary worldview (along with cosmological evolution [big bang et al], geological evolution [millions of years] and chemical evolution [origin of life]). Together, they make up the origins account of the secular forms of humanism which is the religion that dominates much of the Western World today and is taught in most state schools.

So like a train that is going the wrong way on the tracks, so are the supposed evolutionary changes and that is what this song is about. For those who don't know, two major corporations, Enron and WorldCom, did this sort of thing with their accounting; they were adding losses as though they were legitimate gains and naturally, these scandals caused them to go bankrupt.]

Chorus

The evolution train’s a coming but it’s going in the wrong direction

The evolution train’s a coming but it just can’t get you where you want to

Where you going?

You just can’t build it up!

The information’s falling.

And you just don’t want to give it up!

V1

Selection doesn’t build up information but only selects what’s already there

It filters out and loses information – this isn’t evolution at all

Selection was developed by Ed Blyth to explain variation in kinds

Darwin took it one step further but we don’t observe life changing kinds

Chorus

The evolution train’s a coming but it’s going in the wrong direction

The evolution train’s a coming but it just can’t get you where you want to

Where you going?

You just can’t build it up!

The information’s falling.

And you just don’t want to give it up!

V2

Mutations can’t build sufficient information; they are defects in the genome

How can these be information gaining; when their additions are like Enron

Tumors like cancer are mutations; do you think these are so great?

If mutations are evolution’s hero; then evolution is a tumor of hate…

Bridge:

The evolution train has derailed

It went the wrong way on the track

The creation train went barreling through it

Now let’s help people get back on track

V3 Compilation verse

Selection doesn’t build up information but only selects what’s already there

It filters out and loses information – this isn’t evolution at all

Mutations can’t build sufficient information; they are defects in the genome

How can these be information gaining; when their additions are like Enron

Outro line

Hey man where you goin’? Hey that’s the wrong way.

X-Secular

X-Secular - Lyrics

Bodi-wan

I’m X-Secular

Verse 1

You need to get your mind straight when you’re looking at God’s Word (Proverbs 8:8-9)

because it is infallible (2 Samuel 22:31, 2 Timothy 3:16-17),

God is perfect (Deuteronomy 32:4); and man is not (Psalm 116:11, Romans 3:23),

so why would we trust man’s ideas over God’s (Isiah 2:22)?

Chorus

You need to start your thinking with God’s Word (Proverbs 9:10) and stop taking man’s ideas to the Bible (2 Peter 2:1, 3:16)

Then you’ll be standing on the right foundation to look at the world (Ephesians 2:20)

You need to remove the false ideas like the ‘millions of years’ and evolution (Acts 17:16-18[1]; Romans 1:18-23)

Then you will truly know what it’s like to become:

             X-Secular (Colossians 3:10)

Verse 2

You can either trust the Bible’s flood (Genesis 6-8, Matthew 24:38-39, 2 Peter 2:5)

or you can trust man’s ideas

about ‘millions of years’ (2 Peter 3:4)

But you can’t have the geologic layers as a confirmation of them both.

Breakdown:

You need to stop trusting imperfect man’s ideas about the past like Big Bang (Psalm 118:8).

God was there and He eye witnessed it (Isaiah 46:10, 57:15; Acts 15:18) and His Word is perfect (Psalm 18:30).

Why trust imperfect men’s account of the past, when they weren’t even there (Romans 5:12).

It’s time to get false ideas out of your head – challenge things like Big Bang and pond scum-to-people evolution that have been forced on you (Colossians 2:8).

It’s time to get back to God’s Word (Joel 2:13).  I invite you to become: X-Secular

Verse 3

[1] The Epicureans were evolutionists. Lamarck, Darwin and others have simply rehashed this ancient Greek mythology and tried to modernized it and add mechanisms to it.
