Allegiance – Lyrics

Francis Bellamy (1892, US Pledge, 1954, addition of "under God" by Dwight D. Eisenhower, Open Source)
Homer Grice (Bible Pledge, 1924-1925, merely a combination of Psalm 119:11 and 119:105 which are Open Source Scripture)
Lynn Harold Hough (Early Christian Flag Pledge, 1908, Open Source)
Chorus Bodi-wan/David Hodge (2001-2002)
---Point of note: there are several pledges and variations for the Christian flag. The one used for the lyrics in this song was a slight variation of the earliest one. I prefer this one in recitation.
---Another point for those outside of the USA: although I sing about my country and its pledge in this song, I want to encourage you to love your country and strive to make it better based on godly principles founded in Scripture. And if I can ask, please be in prayer for the USA, as there have been many in today's American culture trying to destroy it from within. I value the prayer to help our nation repent of her sins and return to God and His Word.
Chorus
I pledge allegiance unto our Lord (1 Kings 8:61)
Fighting for freedom (Galatians 5:1; John 8:36), fighting with
a sword (Hebrews 4:12)

to submit forever more (James 4:17)
