The foreshadow of waves

Epic of the day

Every inclination their hearts were evil all the time (Genesis 6:5).

All men’s thoughts had gone astray (Genesis 6:5)

But Noah was a righteous man (Genesis 6:9, 6:22-7:1; 2 Peter 2:5)

He walked with God and he was blameless in His sight (Genesis 6:9; Ezekiel 14:14).

The Lord will judge their sin with a mighty flood (Genesis 6:11-13; Psalm 29:10)…

Noah built the ark (Genesis 6:14-22), the animals came (Genesis 6:19-20), Christ shut the door (Genesis 7:16) when man refused to change (Matthew 24:38-39; 2 Peter 2:5).

Epic of the punishment

Noah preached to them (2 Peter 2:5) but they refused to listen to the word,

Now their screams ring out to them as sin was punished with the flood (Genesis 7:23; Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 21:7)

It came upon them when they least expected it (Luke 17:26-27).

But remembered Noah and his family (Genesis 8:1)…

The flood gates burst (Genesis 7:11-12; Psalm 104:8-9), the Ark floated high (Genesis 7:17), those who loved sin were left there to die (Genesis 7:19-23; James 1:15).

The final wave (during the solo)

Epic reminder

A peace had settled on the earth for man to start a brand new life (Genesis 8:11, 8:21-9:1; 9:12-17),

God called them out of their long stay aboard the ark of salvation (Genesis 8:16-19)

A lesson for us, Christ will save us (Genesis 6:16, 7:16; John 10:9.

The Lord will still judge sin in mighty ways (1 Peter 4:5; 2 Peter 3:5-7).
